Studio Announces "Paranormal Activity 4" Will Be A Go in 2012!!!! + Paramount Was The Most Successful Film Studio Of 2011!

With one of the most successful launches of a film franchise on a nearly non-existent budget, The "Paranormal Activity" franchise has already gotten the green light for installment 4, set to hit theaters later this year! Deets below:

Well then. No one saw this one coming, right? Paramount announced today that the studio garnered $5.17 billion in worldwide sales in 2011, making it the most profitable studio of last year. The news came via a press release, which, if you checked it out thoroughly, contained the first official confirmation of the film horror fans have been waiting to hear.

In 2012 Paramount’s release slate highlights include “World War Z,” a zombie thriller starring Brad Pitt and directed by Marc Forster; “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” the next installment in the global franchise starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Channing Tatum; a new chapter in the “Paranormal Activity” franchise; and “The Dictator,” starring Sacha Baron Cohen and directed by Larry Charles, the team behind “Borat.”

There you have it, kids! Let the speculation officially begin! Paranormal Activity 3 grossed over $200 million worldwide. Here's hoping they can bring back directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman to continue the tale of witchery and curses. More soon!
