Congrats: Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Welcome a Second Bundle of Joy [12.27.14]
Grammy award winning singer/songwriter, Alicia Keys and her husband, mega music producer/rapper, Swizz Beatz, welcomed the birth of their second son, Exodus Ali Dean on Saturday.
Baby Exodus entered the world weighing 6 pounds and 5 ounces.
Exodus joins big brother, Egypt Daoud. Congrats to the happy parents!
Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick Welcomed Baby No. 3 on 12.14.14 + Scott Purchases New Home One Hour From Residence
Kourtney Kardashain and Scott Disick welcomed their third baby, son, Reign Disick, on December 14. Baby Reign joins, sister, Penelope, aged 2, and brother, Mason, aged five. Congrats to the expanding family!

Even though he just welcomed a new baby with long-time girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick recently purchased a new $3.7m home in Beverly Hills. Scott already shares a $5.8m home with Kourtney Kardashian in Calabasas.
So are the two on the rocks or is Scott just investing in real estate? Only time will tell.
Scott has been through alot recently, including losing both his parents and drinking heavily.
Definitely a difficult time.

This decision sends a loud message that we (the U.S.) will not be forced into censoring creative content because of threats, especially threats coming from that of a dictator.
12.20.14: Two NYPD Officers Killed in Brooklyn
The murders of New York Police officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, was a horrific act of atrocious violence by killer, Ismaaiyl Brinsley. Brinsley also shot his girlfriend, Shaneka Thompson, who is in critical condition, and later killed himself; after killing officer Ramos and officer Liu.
Prayers and condolences go out to the families of Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu during this difficult time.
I have to speak on the dangerous narrative that is coming from many after these devastating murders. Folks are trying to blame Mayor Bill de Blasio, Al Sharpton, and the peaceful nationwide protests that have been going on in the hope of stopping police brutality...in the wake of the no indictment decisions in both the Michael Brown case and Eric Garner case.
It is irresponsible for people in key positions to take the tone that has been unleashed. There is only one person responsible for this horrible crime and that is the disturbed man who pulled the trigger. No one else.

New Series Installment: FOR THE RECORD [Record Series #3] By K.A. Linde Is Available
Alrighty folks...the must read RECORD SERIES by K.A. Linde just continues to get better. Well I mean that for a couple of reasons. First off, book two in the series, ON THE RECORD, worked my nerves, because it took Liz and Brady too long to get their ish together...and the book focused on another relationship that I will not get into now...as to not reveal too many spoilers. But, I was happy with the ending.
Secondly, the fact that book three in the series, FOR THE RECORD, released last month, is good news...Finally, readers will be able to see what obstacles Liz and Brady will face now that the two are officially a couple and the media ride begins.
I haven't read book three as of yet, but, it has been sitting patiently in my kindle library and I'm about to start reading it in a few minutes.

On-again, off-again lovebirds, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran split again. Chris made his single status known several days ago, during a live performance. But, the breakup drama between Chris Brown and his long-time girlfriend, Karreuche Tran became even more publicized when it spilled over onto social media.

Side Note: While the above breakup was ugly and messy, relationships are messy and can sometimes get ugly. But, folks must learn to keep their personal drama off of social media. Beyonce Becomes Most Grammy-Nominated Woman In History
Note: As pointed out by Billboard, Beyonce surpassed Dolly Parton last year. Most are not including Beyonce's Producer credit nomination on the Dreamgirl's soundtrack. However, Beyonce remains the most Grammy-nominated woman of all time and has now surpassed David Foster in nominations and is the sixth most Grammy-nominated artist in history.

Book Of The Month: [December 2014] - REVIVAL By Stephen King
Last month Stephen King's newest and highly anticipated novel, REVIVAL, was released. At the time of the release, I immediately knew that I would be reading it in December and therefore, wanted REVIVAL to be the next book of the month choice.
As a major Stephen King fan, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a new copy of his newest terrifying tale. I look forward to one interesting read.

12.3.14: No Indictment in Eric Garner Chokehold Case
\Today a grand jury decided not to indict Daniel Pantaleo, the NYC officer who killed Eric Garner while locking him in a chokehold. Even though there was videotaped evidence of the entire incident, the officer was not indicted. Even more disturbing is the fact that the death was ruled a homicide. This just doesn't make sense. Coming right on the heels of officer, Darren Wilson, being free of any wrong doing when a St. Louis grand jury failed to indict him for killing Michael Brown.
Time and time again, Black men are being murdered by police and even trigger happy "community watch" stalkers such as George Zimmerman. This violence on Black men has to stop.
Sending prayers out to Eric Garner's family and hope Eric Garner continues to rest in peace. The fight will continue, as stated by his family, to find some type of actual justice for this horrific killing that didn't have to happen.
President Obama spoke about the Eric Garner Case today:
Side Note: President Obama announced this week a plan to get cameras to officers around the country in an effort to help bridge the divide between the police and the communities they're sworn to protect. Well after today's events, even videotaped evidence against an officer using police brutality, doesn't ensure justice.
