Update: Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce After 2 Months Of Marriage! + Kris Humphries Releases Statement, He Does Not Want Marriage To End!

After rumors have been flying that Kim and Kris' fairy tale marriage was in trouble.. it seems those rumors were accurate.

Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce! Deets below via E, with a full outline of their history as a couple leading up to this unfortunate turn of events after only 2 months of marriage and just a few weeks after their 4 hr/ 2 day wedding extravaganza special aired.

However, if you watched the special, there were serious signs that there would be trouble in paradise, however within 2 months... a divorce filing? Major problems indeed. This was Kim's second marriage, and Kris' first. Again deets below:

Via E Online:

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Divorce: Anatomy of a Split

The fairy-tale romance is over.

Sadly this morning, after just over two months of marriage under her belt, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her basketballer hubby Kris Humphries, citing irreconcilable differences.

So how did this couple go from being in love to being on the outs? Here's a timeline of the way they were:

December 2010: Kim first steps out with Kris, days after splitting from Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubrey. She later recalled how they met on the Tonight Show, telling Jay Leno, "We met at a basketball game in New Jersey, and I saw him and thought he was cute, and I told my friend, who was sitting next to me.

"I feel so pathetic! I saw him and I was like, 'Oh my God, this guy running in front of me is so cute,' and my friend was like, 'Oh, I know his friend,' and so they kind of set us up on this group dinner…and I thought, 'Why not?'"
Early January 2011: Just a few weeks after going public with Humphries, Kim meets the parents, flying out to a Minnesota Timberwolves game to cheer on her beau alongside Kris' sister, Kaela, and his parents. They later shared dinner together, and Humphries' rep said at the time, "Yes, they met and it was a wonderful meeting."
January 2011: Babies on the brain? Kim tweets a photo of Kris as a child, with the caption, "I want my son to look like this!"
Feb. 5, 2011: Kim helps Kris celebrate his 26th birthday with a surprise birthday dinner in NYC with his parents.
March 2011: Kim denies rumors that she and Kris are already engaged.

April 2011: Kim tells E! News that moving to New York (Kris plays for the New Jersey Nets, remember) is the "obvious" next step, but plays coy about any permanent plans. "We're doing good!" she said of her relationship. "I am very happy where I'm at...But as of right now, no marriage, nothing like that. We're happy."
Early May 2011: Just a week before Kris proposes (and two weeks before the world learns of the engagement), Kim again addresses rumors of an impending engagement. "I'm like, 'Seriously?'" she told E! News. "We laugh so hard. I mean, I guess it's flattering that they want us to get married instead of break up, so I don't know."
May 18, 2011: Humphries gets down on bended knee and pops the question to his girlfriend of roughly six months, asking for her hand in marriage with rose petals spelling out the question, "Will you marry me?" She, of course, accepts.
May 25, 2011: The couple announces their engagement to the world. "OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!" Kim blogged. "It's true! I couldn't be happier! Thank you guys for all the sweet messages!!! I finally found my missing puzzle piece, I'm complete." Kris sealed the deal with a $2 million, 20.5-carat diamond ring.

May 27, 2011: The couple makes their post-engagement public debut in Monte Carlo, where they attended the Amber Fashion Show, with both looking positively radiant.
June 1, 2011: It doesn't take long for the couple's first bout of pregnancy rumors to pop up in the tabloids, which are quickly denied.
June 8, 2011: Just as quickly as bumpwatch pops up, the couple faces their first allegations of infidelity, though the blushing bride-to-be isn't having any of it and threatens to sue over an In Touch story claiming she stepped out with NFL star Bret Lockett during her courtship with Humphries.(Lockett later admitted he'd never even met Kim.)
June 8, 2011: A source confirmed to E! News that the couple was putting the finishing touches on their prenuptial agreement.
June 14, 2011: The couple's wedding registry reveals the superstars set their sights on items from the super-posh Gearys of Beverly Hills.
MORE: How did Kim celebrate her 31st birthday?
June 30, 2011: Speculation that her wedding day is drawing nearer begins as Kim, Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner are spotted at the Vera Wang boutique, chatting with the designer herself. (Spoiler alert: the rumors prove true!)
June 2011: Khloé throws Kim and Kris an engagement party at her and Lamar Odom's L.A. home. Among the guests were pals Lala Vasquez, Brittny Gastineau and Jordan Farmar, Lamar's Lakers teammate and the man who reportedly introduced Kim and Kris.
July 4, 2011: Kim and Kris spend the patriotic holiday in Humphries' hometown of Minnetonka, Minn., along with all of Kris' family and friends.
July 24, 2011: The couple's his 'n hers bachelor and bachelorette parties turned into hers 'n hers parties, as Kim crashed Kris' Sin City extravaganza.
July 24, 2011: Before she headed to Las Vegas to say goodbye to her singlehood, Kim was the guest of honor at a bridal shower in L.A. that very afternoon thrown by mom Kris at her home. Demi Lovato, Serena Williams and Mel B were among those in attendance.

July 28, 2011: Save the date! The duo's wedding invitation leaks, revealing their wedding date of Aug. 20, 2011. Days later, they really get into preparations by going cake tasting.
Aug. 19, 2011: The Kardashians converge for an intimate rehearsal dinner at Scarpetta, inside the Montage Beverly Hills, before heading up to Montecito for the big day.

Aug. 20, 2011: They do! Before walking down the aisle, Kris sends out his last tweet
as a single man: "This is it!" They tie the knot at a private estate in surrounded by family and friends, including Brody Jenner, Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough, Kathie Lee Gifford, Mel B, Mario Lopez, George Lopez, Serena Williams and more.

Aug. 21, 2011: Kim is clearly enjoying her first day as a newlywed, tweeting out, "God is good!!!!!"

Aug. 24, 2011: Ciao, bella! After briefly touching down in Paris, honeymooners Kim and Kris pop up in Capri.

Aug, 29, 2011: Trouble in paradise? Tongues start wagging when Kim shows up at the MTV VMAs just days after her wedding without hubby Kris. However, reps quickly put minds at ease, by explaining that Kris was simply back home in Minnesota packing up for his big move to New York.

Sept. 14, 2011: Now it's Kris' turn to make the (almost) solo rounds, turning up with not quite brother-in-law Scott Disick at New York Fashion Week.

Sept. 20, 2011: Oops. Kim lets slip that Kris failed to remember their one-month anniversary.

Sept. 27, 2011: Trouble in paradise? The tabloids go into overdrive when Kim and Kris are both spotted without their wedding bands, though the stars quickly deny rumors of a rift and claim that they simply do not wear jewelry while going to and from the gym—where most of the ringless shots were taken.

Oct. 4, 2011: While appearing together on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the couple again derides the tabloid gossip and Kim says that if she could do one thing differently, she'd choose to elope. The couple then staged a mock renewal of their vows.

Oct. 13, 2011: Once again traveling without her hubby, Kim (accompanied by mom Kris) touches down in Dubai before embarking on some promotional appearances around the city.

Oct. 18, 2011: Everything certainly seemed to be just fine for the newlyweds, as Kim told E! News that they were still planning on splitting their time together between Miami, Minnesota and L.A., saying, "We'll figure it out." She also revealed her thoughts on married life, saying, "The best thing about married life is, you have a built-in best friend." The worst? "The messy piles of clothes everywhere! I'm such a neat freak!" However, she praised her hubby, "He is just so funny and makes me laugh all of the time."

Oct. 21, 2011: Kim turned 31 and spent the day not with hubby Kris, but rather with sisters Kourtney and nephew Mason at New York's Natural History Museum. However, that night they were back together, partying at The Derby along with the Kardashian clan. The festivities continued throughout the weekend, when they partied at the Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas.

Oct. 26, 2011: A once-again solo Kim gets her Halloween on, dressing up as a witch at the X Factor viewing party.

Oct. 30, 2011: Kim continues her social life—again without Kris—as she dresses up like Poison Ivy and hosts a costume bash at Lavo in New York City.

Oct. 31, 2011: Shocker! Within an hour of E! News confirming that the couple had split, Kim formally files for divorce from Kris in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage," she told E! News in a statement. "I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."

Kris, meanwhile, immediately released a statement of his own: "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce," he said. "I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."

A source tells E! News that despite the divorce filing, Kim plans on departing as planned to Australia later tonight, where she's due to promote the Kardashian Kollection line of handbags with sister Khloé.

"The Amityville Horror" (1979)

Epic horror film classic. One of the most unnerving things about the film was the fact that it was based on possible true events. But even without that factor, the film remains one of the best horror movies of all time.

Several sequels were done.. some ok, others just a waste of film. However Michael Bay's 2005 remake starring Ryan Reynolds was an excellent watch.

Was the story true or a hoax?

10.28.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"My Bloody Valentine 3D" (2009)

This was a good horror film. It's actually a remake, but I happen to like the 2009 version better than the original that was done in 1981. But I have to admit that the original was pretty good as well, so if you haven't seen them, I recommend both versions.

"My Bloody Valentine" (1981)

Jensen Ackles of the mega hit show "Supernatural" stars in the 2009 version!!! Gots to luv Jensen!:D

BTW... One of the best episodes of "Supernatural" was the eppy titled "Route 666" from season one. (An Mvid of the episode) - Check it:

To this day it's pathetic how hate filled and racist some of the comments (on YT and message boards) are about the pairing of "Dean" and "Cassie", which was way back in season one. Season seven is running now.. I mean really.. people are a trip.

In good news.. Season six of "Supernatural" was just released on DVD and Blu-ray!!!

10.27.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Scream" (1996)

Wes Craven has done a great job with this movie franchise. Normally when you start doing multiple sequels, it kills the original premise of the first one. However, the "Scream" films have all stood out on their own. The plot twists were unique in the fact that it never got stale as the franchise expanded.

Great cast all around and all four films in this franchise are worth a watch.

All of the "Scream" films have had some of the best scene openings. So the movie grabs your attention from the start. Wes Craven is one of the horror greats.

"Scream" (1996) grossed $173 million worldwide, and went on to have major success in dvd / blu-ray sales.

The media loves to report and dish on royal families.. yet there are rarely any profiles or stories in mainstream media that focuses on African Royalty or Blacks in European royalty.

I will extend even further and say nothing is even reported about people of color who hold noble titles.

African Kings, Queens, princes, princesses etc. African royalty exists, as does blacks in European royal houses, yet they are not highlighted in media. It is such a shame that the media fails to highlight these royal families.

As young girls we dreamed about a prince sweeping us off our feet and becoming a princess and watched "Cinderella" too many times to count. Well it's not just a "fairy tale" for some... it's reality.

This is such a fabulous post if I do say so myself! :D

Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen From Disney's "The Princess & The Frog"

So now on to a few of the who's who in African and/or Black Royalty & Nobility:

Prince Kunle Omilana, Princess Keisha Omilana and son Prince Diran

Essence interview with Princess Omilana:

We caught up with model and philanthropist Princess Keisha Omilana, wife of Prince Kunle Omilana of Nigeria, to find out what it takes to be a real-life Black American Princess (the good kind), her over-the-top royal wedding, and how she met her royal boo!

ESSENCE.com: How did you meet your husband?
PRINCESS KEISHA OMILANA: I got lost on my way to a model casting. I was on the phone with my agent trying to find the right address. He was in a meeting at the W and he saw me outside. He excused himself from the table, came out to meet me, and waited 45 minutes to say, "you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my entire life. Would you do me the honor of having your number? "

ESSENCE.com: So clearly you gave it to him.
PRINCESS KEISHA: No! Well, not at first. Who gives their number out to a guy on the street? I told him I was dating someone and left to catch the train, but I was halfway down the steps and my women's intuition said, "you know what? You're not dating anybody and he was cute!" I figured if I went back and he was still there, it was meant to be. I went back and there he was waiting like he knew I was coming back.

ESSENCE.com: When did you find out he was a prince?
PRINCESS KEISHA: Two years after we began dating. He asked me to marry him one Christmas morning, then he told me he was a Prince. He'd come to New York to find someone to spend his life with. I had no clue who he was or what his background was. That couldn't happen for him at home. It was all very "Coming to America."

ESSENCE.com: Did you get married in America or in Nigeria?
PRINCESS KEISHA: We were married in New York a month after he proposed. The wedding took place at a private club with just 20 guests. Kunle flew in his pastor from Nigeria. We're still planning our royal ceremony, which will be a week-long affair in Nigeria. I'm excited about it.

ESSENCE.com: What duties do you have a princess?
PRINCESS KEISHA: I don't really have official duties right now since I don't live in Nigeria. My most important assignments are assuring the Omilana name remains in good standing and keeping my husband and son feeling healthy and loved.

Akosua Busia

Akosua Busia is of the Royal Family of Wenchi, Ghana. She's an actress and starred in one of the best films ever, "The Color Purple". Her character was Nettie. "The Color Purple" was Akosua's first acting début, but she went on to star in other films, and also wrote a song with Stevie Wonder. Everyone remembers "Boyz in The Hood", well the Ghanaian actress married (and divorced) the director of the film, acclaimed director John Singleton. - Akosua Busia is the daughter of Kofi Abrefa Busia, the ex-prime minister of the Republic of Ghana, and daughter of a prince of the royal family of Wenchi. Technically she herself is not a "Princess", since the Akans of Ghana trace their ancestry through the female-line. To be a princess therefore, one's Mother should be a royal. When the father is a royal, one is referred to as "Odehyeba" to wit a child of a royal.

King Letsie III of Lesotho

Letsie III (born David Mohato Bereng Seeiso; 17 July 1963) is the reigning king of Lesotho. He succeeded his father, Moshoeshoe II, when the latter was forced into exile in 1990. His father was briefly restored in 1995 but soon died in a car crash in early 1996, and Letsie became king again. As a constitutional monarch, most of King Letsie's duties as monarch of Lesotho are ceremonial.

He was educated in the United Kingdom at Ampleforth College. From there he went on to study at the National University of Lesotho where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law. He then went on to study at the University of Bristol, the University of Cambridge, and the University of London. He completed his studies in 1989, when he returned to Lesotho.

King Letsie married in 2000 to Karabo Motšoeneng, with whom he has two daughters and one son:

KING Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV was born on April 16, 1992 to King Patrick Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa. Three and half years later in 1995, Oyo ascended to the throne and became the 13th ruler of the 180-year-old Toro kingdom.

He is the youngest ruling monarch worldwide. In the Guinness Book of records, he took the spot of youngest king from Mswati III of Swaziland who was crowned king when he was 18.

At first glance, he looks like any other teenager. He plays video games, reads the Twilight vampire books and plays soccer in his backyard. Yet looks can be deceitful.

People world over know that teenager as King Oyo, the youngest ruling monarch. He is the cultural leader of more than two million people in Toro, one of the four kingdoms in Uganda.

King Oyo has a palace on Harukoto Hill in Fort Portal town. However, because he studies in Kampala, he spends less time here as compared to the palace in Munyonyo, Kampala.

There are two sides to King Oyo’s life. At the Aga Khan International School in Kampala, fellow students do not call him king and he tries to lead a simple life. Schoolmates greet him with hugs and handshakes. “My friends at school don’t care that I am a king. They treat me like any other student,” he says.

But back in Toro, he is the king and is not allowed to smile in public. His subjects prostrate and kiss his feet.

King Oyo ascended to the throne on April 17, 1995 after the death of his father. During his coronation, the toddler sat on a miniature throne and played with toys after a mock battle with a “rebel” prince.

At one point, His Majesty ran from the throne and climbed onto his mother’s lap. He was scared of a lion-skin crown that was too heavy for his little head. “I was scared of the lion and the leopard skin that was placed on my chair and head, I had to run for my safety,” he recalls.

The next day, King Oyo attended a meeting with cabinet members and he had no idea what they were discussing. It took him years to understand what was happening. “I realised when I was about seven years old that I was king and my life was going to be different. I also realised that I would have many responsibilities in future and the people of Toro would look up to me.”

The six-foot-tall king, who sits on a throne draped with leopard skin and wears a blue and gold royal robe, oversees a cabinet that includes a prime minister, board of regents and councillors. The President, Yoweri Museveni, and Libyan leader Col. Muammar Gadaffi are among his advisors.

King Oyo oversees efforts to raise money for projects such as health and education. He also implements programmes to boost cultural pride.

“I want to build modern schools and hospitals to improve the service delivery to my people,” he says.

The king has been making decisions with the help of advisers and the queen mother. However, today, as he turns 18, he will become the sole decision-maker. “It’s a huge responsibility, but I have support from my mother, advisers and the cabinet,” he says.

As a king, Oyo’s subjects will give him livestock and spears. He will also continue receiving Government protection, but he is not used to the security detail. “At times, I want to be on my own, but I can’t because the security guys are always around,” he says.

His subjects expect a lot from him. Most people in the kingdom, like most parts of Uganda, live in poverty. The Batooro hope that the young king will transform his people socially and economically.

King Lerou Tshekedi Molotlegi

Lerou Tshekedi Molotlegi was never supposed to be king of the Royal Bofakeng nation, a Setswana-speaking community of roughly 300,000 people located in the North West Province of South Africa. There were two brothers that stood ahead of Molotlegi. But when both brothers faced untimely deaths, Molotlegi’s number was called in 2003. The 36th monarch has had some large shoes to fill to make his vision of enhancing the Bofokeng community’s culture and economy a reality. In the 19th century, upon contact with Europeans, a forward-thinking ruler organized the purchase of land to protect it from outside hands. The deeds to the communally held territory survived white rule. When platinum was discovered, the rural outpost was positioned to share in the profits, which has resulted in schools, roads and a stadium that hosted several World Cup games.

A native of Inglewood, Calif., Keisha is an accomplished model having worked with L’Oreal, Maybeline, Revlon and Cover Girl. She is also most recognized for being the first African-American woman to be featured in three consecutive commercials as “The Pantene Girl.” Nigerian prince Kunle Omilana pursued her. She initially turned him down but later accepted his offer. “This is the best decision you have ever made,” he said. It certainly appears that way. Together, they are husband and wife, parents, business partners and owners of Wonderful-TV, a Christian network reaching over 100 million households across Europe. How’s that for happily ever after?

If mention of an African ruler unsettles something within you, you might be conjuring a character akin to King Mswati III. The King of Swaziland and head of the Swazi Royal Family is considered Africa’s last absolute monarch. He has held the throne for 24 years now, since the age of 18. Mswati’s policies and lavish lifestyle has been known to incite controversy on the home front. He keeps a firm handle on the media, but news gets out about his life of obscene luxury and playboy exploits outside of his 13 wives.

Tsidii Le Loka

Photobucket

Tsidii Le Loka was studying economics and music at the University of Massachusetts when she got a call to come to New York and audition for “The Lion King.” Not only did she get the part of Rafiki, but she went on to receive a Tony nomination for her work. It was a defining moment for a girl who descended from South African royalty and was raised in Lesotho. Today, you can catch her singing at limited engagements around the world, sometimes alongside names such as Yousouu N’Dour, Madonna and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Adewale Ogunleye

Photobucket

Royalty doesn’t always mean rich. Power doesn’t always yield dividends. Thus, even though Adewale Oguleye is of royal Nigerian stock, he didn’t get his first taste of wealth until signing with the Miami Dolphins. Having gone on to play for the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans, he is currently a free agent. As far as we can tell, that goes for his love life too. He’s played prince charming to Sanaa Lathan and Kelis, but as of yet, no bride has emerged to help him carry on the royal line.

Princess Sikhanyiso Dlamini

Photobucket

As she completed her studies at Biola University a small Christian school outside of Los Angeles, Sikhanyiso Dlamini said that she wanted to be a minister and a rapper. She’s also expressed a desire to act and model. Whatever she ends up doing, the most salient aspect of her profile will always be that of a princess. Her father is Swazi King Mswati III. Though he rules the country with an iron grip, that hasn’t deterred Dlamini from speaking out against his policies. She called him out when she told the press, “polygamy brings all advantages in a relationship to men, and this to me is unfair and evil.”

King Goodwill Zwelethini

Photobucket

Unlike his neighbor King Mswati III, Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu is not about suppressing the press or harassing adversaries. kaBhekuzulu’s title is largely symbolic—he is the reigning king of the Zulu nation under the traditional leadership clause of South Africa’s republican constitution. But, he is still known to abuse his power. The government allots him a multi-million dollar budget for personal upkeep, but spend time perusing local papers and you’ll see that overspending on lavish palaces, vehicles, clothing and vacations taken as a birthright. He has six wives.

Princess Angela of Liechtenstein

Photobucket

Angela Brown probably didn’t believe him when he first said it. In the 1990s, she was living in New York working as a fashion designer. Although once can expect to meet a colorful cast of characters in the city and in Brown’s line of work, a prince still qualifies as a stretch. But there Maximillian of Liechenstein was taking an interest in her. In January 2000, the two married, turning her into one of Europe’s most unlikely princesses.

Prince Alfons Constantin Maria of Liechenstein

Photobucket

Son of Prince Maximillian of Liechenstein & Princess Angela of Liechenstein.

His father is the 2nd son and his uncle has 3 boys so Prince Alfons is 6th in line for the throne.

Born in London on May 18, 2001, Prince Alfons is slated to become a ranking dynast of the Princely House when he turns 18.

Prince Alexandre Eric Stephane Coste

Prince Alexandre with his father, Albert II, Prince Of Monaco

Born in Paris on August 24, 2003, Prince Alexandre is son of Albert ll, Prince of Monaco and Nicole Coste, a native of Togo in West Africa. His paternal grandparents were the late Rainier lll, Prince of Monaco and Princess Grace. (Princess Grace was the famous American actress Grace Kelly.)
Alexandre Eric Stephane’s father Albert II may be the Prince of Monaco, but Alexandre will never be in line for the crown. Neither will he ever bear the family name. That was established by the dynasty soon after his mother, Nicole Coste, a native of Togo in West Africa, broke the news of his existence in a French tabloid. According to Monaco’s constitution, any children born out of wedlock are considered illegitimate. However, Albert II has said that Alexandre and an additional child with another woman would be taken care of financially.

Joy Elias-Rilwan

Photobucket

Joy Elias-Rilwan married Hon. James Edward Lascelles, son of George Henry Hubert Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood and Maria Donata Nanetta Paulina Gustava Erwina Wilhelmine Stein, on January 30, 1999. Joy Elias-Rilwan was a film and TV actress. From January 30, 1999, her married name became Lascelles.

Her husband, The Hon. James Lascelles, is a British musician and the second son of the 7th Earl of Harewood and his first wife, the former Marion Stein (now Mrs. Jeremy Thorpe). His father was a first cousin to Queen Elizabeth II, and he is 50th in line to the British throne.

Countess Mary Von Habsburg of Austria

Photobucket

Countess Mary Von Habsburg of Austria married Ferdinand Leopold Joseph Count von Habsburg of Austria who's family descends from William the Conqueror in Nairobi in 1999. The Countess hails from Sudan and there was apparently a lot of controversy regarding their marriage in royal circles because of the Countess' class and ethnicity. This of course had no effect on the couple who have since had 3 children, all of whom were born in Africa where they currently reside.

The couple have 3 children together: Countess Luisa Aluel (born August 3, 2000), Count László Rum (born May 25,2002) and Countess Gisela Aluk (born October 22, 2004).
All three of the couple's children were birthed in Nairobi.

Princess Elizabeth Bagaaya of Toro

Photobucket

Lawyer, diplomat, politician, and actress are all accomplishments that Princess Elizabeth has under her belt. She was the first female from East Africa to be admitted to the English Bar after studying at Cambridge. She then became Uganda’s first female lawyer as well as serving briefly as the Foreign Minister of Affairs under Idi Amin in 1974.

Sarah Culberson, Princess of the Mende Tribe in Bumpe, Sierra Leone

Photobucket

Sarah Culberson was adopted and living with the only family she ever knew in West Virginia, but upon looking for her birth parents, she discovered that she was indeed a princess and was invited by her father to meet her family in Africa. She founded the Kposowa Foundation to help rebuild the school buildings of Bumpe High School which was destroyed in the country’s civil war.

Princess Esther Kamatari of Burundi

Photobucket

Princess Esther Kamatari, 60 is a writer, model, and exiled Burundian princess.
Esther Kamatari grew up in Burundi as a member of the royal family. Following independence in 1962, the king was overthrown in a military coup d'etat, and the monarchy abolished in 1966.

Kamatari fled the country in 1970 after her father's assassination and settled in Paris, where she became a model.

She is married to a french doctor and they have 2 children together, she has 1 child from a previous relationship.

New Video: "Party" By Beyonce f/ J. Cole!

Update: Maks Responds To This Week's "DWTS" Verbal Battle With The Judges On Good Morning America!

Side Note: Maks should apologize to Len about the "maybe you should get out" comment.. He has been in the field for 50 years.. however I agree about his stance on Carrie Ann.

IMO Carrie Ann is a troll and needs to be fired for scoring her favorites higher when they don't deserve it. The way she treated Brandy on Season 11 was uncalled for.

Good that Maks cleared up the "This is my show" comment.

"Influential White Men Who Aren't Afraid To Date And/Or Marry Black Women! (Add On) - Baron Christian Louis de Massy & Baroness Cécile de Massy

The popular Chocolate Chick Special Edition post titled "Influential White Men Who Aren't Afraid To Date And/Or Marry Black Women" gets another entry. Deets below:

Photobucket

Christian Louis, Baron de Massy of Monaco is married to Baroness Cécile Gelabale. Baron Christian de Massy is a member of the extended Monegasque Princely Family.

Photobucket

He is the son of Princess Antoinette of Monaco, Baroness de Massy and Alexandre-Athenase Noghès.

Christian is also first cousin of the reigning Albert II, Prince of Monaco and nephew of Rainier III.

(Reminder: Albert II, Prince of Monaco is the son of the late iconic actress Grace Kelly. Before his recent marriage, he dated a plethora of black women, even fathering a child with an ex black girlfriend. Yes.. He is the father of a little black prince. Awwwww)

10.26.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"First Born" (2007)

This film is more "Suspense Horror". An Alfred Hitchcock style of film. Of course Alfred Hitchcock was the Master of Suspense, and he is often imitated but never duplicated.. still... you can't go wrong with this thriller.

"Joshua" (2007)

This film also was an excellent example of a stylish psychological thriller / suspense horror rolled up into one. Alfred Hitchcock vibes in this film as well.

10.25.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Black Christmas" (1974)

I've seen this film a few times, first time was sometime in the late 80's or early 90's.

A remake was done in 2009.... All good films are getting remakes.. anywho... The remake was an okay film, however the original is a horror classic.

"Black Christmas" (2009)

New Gig! Kim Kardashian Lands Role In Tyler Perry's "The Marriage Counselor" Film! + Reactions!

Photobucket

Tyler Perry has cast Kim Kardashian in his upcoming film "The Marriage Counselor", which is set to start filming later this month. Deets below:

Via NY Daily News:

Kim Kardashian has scored her first substantial big-screen role in Tyler Perry's "The Marriage Counselor," reports Deadline.

Kardashian, 31, will play Ava, a coworker of a relationship expert (Jurnee Smollett) who is so bored with her own marriage, she cheats with a smooth-talking client.

After she realizes she made a mistake, Ava swoops in to give her a "big city makeover".

"It's gonna be such a fun experience!" she tweeted on Saturday after the news broke.

"The Mariage Counselor," which is based on Perry's stage production of the same name, begins filming in Atlanta on Oct. 26.

Kardashian had small roles in 2009's "Deep in the Valley" and in the spoof "Disaster Movie" in 2008, in addition to a small role on "CSI: NY."

Side Note: Some (Black) people are not happy with Tyler Perry's casting decision. I don't understand why they have a problem with it. I think it's a fabulous idea and I say... congrats!

Tyler Perry can cast whomever he chooses in HIS film. He is a smart business man, and Kim Kardashian's legions of fans will flock to see his film, therefore giving him a broader white audience range.

Tyler has had major success in the black community and I'm sure he's now wanting his audience to expand. Adding Kim Kardashian or any Kardashian to a project is going to do just that.

And as with ANY Tyler Perry production, I will support it!

Everyone has a right to their own opinions, and we all must respect that. So here are a few opinions on the matter from Youtube!

Reactions from Youtube:

Matt Barnes DUMPS Gloria "Never Gonna Be A Basketball Wife" Govan!!!!!

Photobucket

Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan are no longer together... Gloria has officially been dumped! Hmmmmm... well after he beat her ass, and they called off the wedding awhile back.. Not really suprised.

Matt released an official statement:

"I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship. We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best."

Well dayum! Karma is a bitch! LMAO

Her equally trifiling sister Laura Govan recently reconciled with her baby daddy Gilbert Arenas. Don't know how long that will last either.. They break up to make up every other quarter.

I bet Shaunie O'Neal is somewhere having a glass of wine right about.... now!!!!

Maks Loses His Temper On The "DWTS" Ballroom Floor, Disrespects Judge Len!

After Maks pretty much unleashed and went too far with Len, he then said "This is MY show! I made it what it is!!!!"

WTF???? (LMAO) - Horrible performance! Tune in to tomorrow's results show!!!!

10.21.11 - Clip of the "20/20" Interview

10.24.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Prom Night" (2008)

Actually liked this version, even though the original "Prom Night" with Jamie Lee Curtis is a classic. They gave this version a much needed plot twist rather than sticking to the exact storyline. Ok.. and it didn't hurt that Idris Elba was in it! :D

"Dancing With The Stars" Season 13, Week 5 Standout Performances: J.R Martinez Brings The House Down, Ricki Lake Fails & Rob K. Improves!

J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff - Scored - 9, 9, 10 = 29

(J.R. deserved three 10's!) - So happy for J.R... Hope he wins!

Ricki Lake & Derek Hough - Scored - 8, 8, 8 = 24

Ricki Lake had been on the top of the leader board. However this performance was not one of their best.

Rob Kardashian & Cheryl "Ho" Burke - Scored - 9, 8, 8 = 25

Biggest Improvement Goes To Rob Kardashian. He did a good job.

Week 5 Elimination: Carson Kressley

Box Office Wars: "Paranormal Activity 3" Spooks It's Way To The Top Spot!

Photobucket

One of the most successful horror franchises ever ("Paranormal Activity"), has yet another reason to celebrate. The third installment, "Paranormal Activity 3" won the box office race this weekend, pulling in over $54 million dollars! The production budget was $5 Million. Congrats!

10.23.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"April Fool's Day" (2008)

This was sort of a remake of the original 1986 film of the same name. However this version was slightly better than the original; even though the original wins out overall, for the best ending.

Congrats!? - Jessica Simpson Expecting A Bundle Of Joy!?

Photobucket

Rumors have been running rampant that Jessica Simpson is preggars. Recent pics show what look to be a very pregnant status.

She was even spotted at the "Ivy' Restaurant in Santa Monica with her mother and sister, Ashlee Simpson, celebrating what appeared to be a small family baby shower.

Photobucket

An announcement is reportedly expected soon. If reports are true. Congrats to Jessica and her fiance Eric Johnson!

Christina and The Dream during happier times

Well it seems music producer Terius “The-Dream” Nash's and singer/actress Christina Milian's marriage that turned into a nightmare and resulted with a divorce filing.... has been finalized. The couple has one child, an adorable daughter, Violet Nash.

After realizing The Dream was cheating in such a public way.. I bet Christina is laughing all the way to the bank! Cha Ching!

10.22.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Stephen King's The Shining" (1980)

Another horror classic. Even though Stephen King's movies are NEVER as good as the actual books, they are entertaining. However my all time favorite Stephen King film is "The Shining"... loved both the book and movie. Jack Nicholson, as always in anything he does, killed this performance!

"Stephen King's The Shining" (1997)

The television mini-series of "The Shining" was superb. If you never saw this version. Do so. Outstanding performances by Steven Weber, Rebecca De Mornay and Courtland Mead.

10.21.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Paranormal Activity 3" (2011) - In theaters NOW!

Nothing really left to say.. The first "Paranormal Activity" was a cult hit. In 2009, the producers of the movie made it the phenom it was by releasing a trailer declaring it the "scariest film" ever, with audience reactions and starting the "Demand It" campaign when at the time it was only being shown in small college towns. As expected.. like wildfire, the internet/social media campaign caused a frenzy for horror movie fans...

To date the first "Paranormal Activity", which had a budget of only $15,000 (Thousand.. people.. Thousand) has grossed over $193 Million in world wide box office sales!

In 2010 "Paranormal Activity 2", with an increased budget of $3 Million, has grossed over $177 Million in box office sales.

Keep in mind, those figures don't include the successful DVD/Blu-Ray sales and rentals.

Now the newest entry in this horror franchise has already sold $8 million in Midnight ONLY showings when it opened. "Paranormal Activity 3" is on course to be the #1 box office winner this weekend!

A Chocolate Chick Special Edition: "Kelly Rowland - A Destiny Being Fulfilled."

Photobucket

It happens all the time. A mega successful group hits the scene, #1 singles & albums abound. The success and accolades pour in.. Fame, Fortune, Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards etc..) The group automatically has a "lead" whom the media latches onto and whenever that said group decides to separate briefly, for a little while or all together.. the media drama begins.

A "lead" will always stand out with the media regardless of the talents of others in the group.

It happened with "The Supremes" (Diana Ross), "The Commodores"(Lionel Richie), "Jackson Five" (Michael Jackson - BTW.. really no comparison to any group or artist.. MJ was and always will be the greatest entertainer ever!), "DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince" (Will Smith), "N'Sync" (Justin Timberlake), "Destiny's Child" (Beyonce)and the list could go on and on.

However in rare cases, as far as mainstream media is concerned... more than one megastar is among the group.

Destiny's Child Live From The "Destiny Fulfilled and Lovin it" Tour

Kelly Rowland (Kelendria Trene Rowland) has shown all along she was a superstar in her own right, taking steps out of Beyonce's shadow and paving her own way. A shadow the "media" and the "public" placed on Kelly.

Both artists have always remained respectful to one another and have always had each other's backs. No cattiness appeared to be in the picture. Beyonce has always shown support for Kelly, just as Kelly has always shown support for Beyonce. They are sisters, and no matter what... family is going to stick by family.

Photobucket

Through all the "Destiny's Child" drama, with ex-members bashing then manager and father to Beyonce & some say father to Kelly Rowland (but we are going to leave that subject / urban legend alone)... Kelly and Beyonce proved they were "survivors" and went on to become part of the biggest female group ever. (The addition of a very talented Michelle Williams was an excellent choice.) Even when Kelly Rowland years later replaced Matthew Knowles as her manager, she remained respectful to the Knowles.

Photobucket

When "Destiny's Child" took their first "break", so they could concentrate on solo projects in music, film etc, Kelly Rowland even then... garnered major success in music and additional endeavors.

-Kelly's 2002 collab with Nelly on his track "Dilemma" was a #1 mega hit! Earning them both a Grammy for "Best Rap/Song Collaboration" and a Billboard Award the following year. To this day.. that track is bomb! Still on my ipod!

"Dilemma"

-In 2002, earlier than expected, Kelly released her first solo album "Simply Deep". It went as far as number 12 on the billboard 200 album chart. Very good solo beginning. "Simply Deep" went on to sale 600,000 copies in the U.S and a worldwide total of 2.5 million copies. That in itself was proof back in 2002-2003, Kelly was a artist in her own right. Yet the "media" still didn't really want to acknowledge what was right before their cameras, pens, magazines, newspapers, entertainment shows etc.. Kelly Rowland was a SOLO superstar.

-In 2007, Kelly Rowland's second solo album "Ms. Kelly" went on to sell 1.2 million copies worldwide. Platinum success. Kelly went own to gain huge success internationally for years.

"Like This" f/ Eve

-In July 2011, Kelly's album "Here I Am" was released and sold 77,000 copies the first week. Prior to the release, the single "Motivation", a collab with Lil Wayne was a instant #1 hit! Staying on the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts for 7 weeks. As of October 2011, the album has sold 178,391 copies in the US. Kelly picked "Lay It on Me" as the next single in the US and "Down For Whatever" as the next international single. The International version of "Here I Am" will be released on November 28, 2011 in the UK. So "Here I Am" is on course to become another platinum success for Kelly. - I do believe through perhaps the fault of management or the record company, the amount of time that seems to lapse in between videos and releases need to be worked on a bit.

-Kelly Rowland has made numerous guest appearances on tv shows, and In 2004, Kelly made her big screen debut in the horror film "Freddy vs. Jason". Kelly was cast as one of the leads. The movie topped the U.S. box office, earning $36.4 million on its first weekend. The production budget was $25 million, the film became a financial success, resulting in a worldwide box office total of $114.3 million. An Uber successful film debut!

"Freddy v/s Jason" (2004)

The following year, Kelly returned to the big screen, this time for a lead role in the romantic comedy "The Seat Filler", (I actually have this dvd in my collection of over 2200 dvds - Yep..I'm a movie fanatic-, purchase or rent "The Seat Filler" if you haven't seen it, it's a cute romantic comedy) starring opposite Duane Martin and Shemar Moore. Executive produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, the film hit theaters in the summer of 2005 and debuted at number eighteen at the box office top twenty. It eventually earned a total domestic gross ticket sales of $10.2 million, and went on to a box office gross over $17.5 million worldwide.

In the film, for which she recorded two songs, Rowland played a pop star who falls for an awards-show seat filler in which she mistakes for a high-profile entertainment attorney. Released to a limited number of festivals only, the film went straight to DVD in 2006. However it has become a DVD sales success.

"The Seat Filler" (2005)

-With the "Motivation" single success, the video releases of "Motivation, and most recently "Lay It On Me" and "Down For Whatever", even her live performance of "Motivation" on this year's BET awards, (which won her the audience pick for best performance of the night. Her sis Beyonce also performed that night as well. As a fan of both, because I don't choose to listen to one music artist over another.. who listens to just one artist? I happen to luv good music period... so I'm not throwing shade at Beyonce, just stating facts from the night of the BET Awards.)

Kelly is making 2011 the year that mainstream media and the constant haters can do nothing more but remove the invisible shadow they bestowed upon her from the get go. That shadow has long ago evaporated in the reality of her unstoppable solo success.

"BET Live Performance Of "Motivation" with Trey Songz cameo.

-Kelly Rowland was hand picked by Simon Cowell to be one of the judges on his wildly popular show "The X Factor", the British version, where the hit show franchise began. The UK version of the show is currently airing now, you can catch all the performances, judges houses results and more on Youtube, the show is just as fabulous as the USA version) - Rowland was confirmed as a judge for the eighth season of British television show The X Factor back in May.

To watch or catch up on "The X Factor UK" Season 8, go to http://www.youtube.com/show?p=wdeHSOJEzBI&tracker=show_av or www.Youtube.Com/TheXFactorUK

Kelly Rowland is finally getting the media attention for her solo success, she deserved way back in 2002.

Congrats to Kelly on her success and it's surely to go even further. Below are the most recent videos of Kelly Rowland, "Lay It On Me" and "Down For Whatever". If you haven't purchased Kelly's album "Here I Am", do so today.

"Lay It On Me' ft. Big Sean

"Down For Whatever"

Kelly Rowland's destiny is finally being fulfilled.

10.20.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Somebody Help Me" (2007)

This was surprisingly a good horror movie. I saw it a year or so ago.

R&B singers Omarion and Marques Houston stars along with , Alexis Fields (Kim Fields sister) and Brooklyn Sudano (Daughter of singer Donna Summer).

There is also a sequel to this film, however I have not seen it yet.. but here is the trailer.

One Of The Many Shocking Moments On "X Factor USA" - Tiah Tolliver v/s Caitlin Koch!

We know Simon likes Chocolate and he has some fixation on Tiah.. .but he went a bit overboard on this decision. LOL - Tiah is not that great of a singer, or at least she hasn't given a performance worthy of going to the live shows. This decision was wrong.

Check the performances posted earlier to compare the vocals.

10.19.11 - Chocolate Chick Horror Movie Pick Of The Day!

"Damien: Omen ll" (1978)

"Damien: Omen ll" is a horror classic. To this day.. even the music alone (in the movie) freaks me out. This movie never gets old. The original was good, but not as good as the sequel. (IMO)

Amazing cast included..

William Holden as Richard Thorn
Lee Grant as Ann Thorn
Jonathan Scott-Taylor as Damien Thorn
Robert Foxworth as Paul Buher
Nicholas Pryor as Dr. Charles Warren
Lew Ayres as Bill Atherton
Sylvia Sidney as Aunt Marion
Lance Henriksen as Sergeant Daniel Neff
Elizabeth Shephard as Joan Hart
Lucas Donat as Mark Thorn
Allan Arbus as David Pasarian
Meshach Taylor as Dr. Kane
