On Christmas Day the world mourned the loss of uber talented singer George Michael. Michael was only 53. George Michael's soulful voice lives on with a musical legacy that many will enjoy for generations to come.

This year is almost over...and 2016 showed out. From numerous passings, a jacked up election and being left with an incoming President-Elect that doesn't know a damn thing about running the most powerful country in the world....yeah, 2016 cut the hell up. It needs to go.

I simply love the holiday season. I am always excited about Christmas and everything about it. Of course, I always keep sight of the true meaning of Christmas, and should everyone else.
With all that being said, one of the many traditions I look forward to is watching Christmas movies with my family. Especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I also have to have a little eggnog...kicked up a notch with french vanilla ice cream and rum added.

Book of the Month: [December 2016] - STALKING JACK THE RIPPER By Kerri Maniscalco
The book of the month selection for December is titled Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. I was instantly interested in choosing this novel as my next read simply by the title as well as the lure of the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper. It doesn't hurt that the book is presented by James Patterson who happens to be one of my favorite authors. I was also intrigued to pick up a debut novel. Debut reads are important to the writers as well. It is always interesting to see what is put forth in a writer's first effort.
This month's book pick, Stalking Jack the Ripper, sounds like one hell of a read. The story centers around a young woman who's interested in murders that are happening quite frequently. She begins to investigate and pours over the forensic evidence. Jeopardizing her safety and her life, she becomes involved in trying to solve the murders being committed by a serial killer. But will she get too close to the truth?

Hot Book Pick: LA DOLCE VITA (Battaglia Mafia Series Book 6) by Sienna Mynx
Okay folks...the latest installment in the blazing Battaglia Mafia book series by author Sienna Mynx released mid October. La Dolce Vita is the sixth book in the bestselling series. I immediately purchased the highly anticipated novel the week it released. Since then, La Dolce Vita has been sitting patiently in my virtual library. I have to literally prepare myself before I delve into a Battaglia Mafia story. It is sure to be a rollercoaster ride of a read...propelling readers to anxiously turn the pages that captivates with gripping plot twists and shocking reveals.
