Cleveland Officer Won't Face Charges for Killing Tamir Rice
On Monday, Cuyohoga County Prosecutor, Timothy McGinty, announced that a grand jury would not indict officer Timothy Loehmann, the man who killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice, or his partner, officer Frank Garmback.
McGinty also recommended that no charges be filed against the officers.
This is yet another appalling error in seeking justice for questionable and concerning circumstances surrounding the death of a black child at the hands of a police officer.
Sending prayers to Tamir Rice's family. The fact that no charges were filed in this case is completely insane.

I simply love the holiday season. I am always uber giddy about Christmas and everything about it. Of course I never lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas, nor should anyone else.
With all that being said, one of the many traditions I look forward to is watching Christmas movies with my family. Especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I also have to have a little eggnog...kicked up a notch with french vanilla icecream and rum added. Amen!

Crazy for FRENCH MACARONS!
Folks I have been going crazy over the french macarons for a minute. They are definitely wildly popular here in the states. However, for some reason, many are intimidated about making the delicate cookies at home. There are a plethora of websites, books and videos dedicated to macarons that demonstrate how easy it is to make the treats. Yet, although there are just a few ingredients, there are precise steps that must be used to ensure your macarons turn out correctly.
Note: You can use Almond Flour or Almond Meal as a substitute for ground almonds. In addition, you will need to have a kitchen food scale.
Below are a couple of great videos showing you how to make French Macarons.
Note: In the above video, it was stated that the macarons could automatically go into the oven after placed on the baking sheet. I would suggest to still allow the macarons to rest before placing them in the oven.

Today the Recording Academy announced the highly anticipated list of Grammy nominations. Artists nominated include J Cole, Drake, Kanye West, The Weekend, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Tamar Braxton, Fetty Wap, Jazmin Sullivan, Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Swift, and Kendrick Lamar, who lead with 11 nominations.

Former Dancing With the Stars pro and entrepreneur, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and current Dancing With the Stars pro, Peta Murgatroyd are getting married.
Maksim proposed to his longtime girlfriend last night in Miami. The couple were performing in the popular production, SWAY: A Dance Trilogy, at the Olympia Theater.
Peta said yes as the two were surrounded by well wishers.
Congrats to the happy couple!
This will be the first marriage for both Maksim, 35, and Peta, 29.

Folks, the month of December arrived with a quickness. Still enjoying my favorite time of the year. My birthday and Thanksgiving were both in November. This month of course is Christmas, but, I actually love the build up to Christmas. I adore everything about the holiday season. This also includes the weather, because I love fall/winter fashion.
As someone who also loves reading...the cold weather is like icing on the cake. It makes for a great recipe, concocted to lure readers to curl up with a good book, along with a cup of coffee, a mug of hot chocolate or a glass of wine.

Wednesday morning was the moment multiple gunmen entered the conference center at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, and opened fire in the busy center. Fourteen people were gunned down and others wounded. The police are actively searching for multiple gunmen.
This story will continue to develop. President Obama was briefed on the horrific shooting and spoke earlier today about the mass shooting with CBS News.

I wanted to send prayers to Kevin Simmons and his family. I just learned that his family home caught fire recently. Thankfully everyone was able to make it out of the home safely. Kevin is the host of the popular Skorpion Show on Youtube which he co-hosts with Makael. Both are hilarious and entertaining.

Sixty years ago today, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Parks was arrested and her brave fight against racial injustice helped launch a civil rights movement.
Many stood with Parks including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Montgomery Bus Boycott was initiated and lasted 385 days. History was made. Rosa Parks' powerful legacy continues to teach and inspire.
