Tyler Perry has cast Kim Kardashian in his upcoming film "The Marriage Counselor", which is set to start filming later this month. Deets below:

Via NY Daily News:

Kim Kardashian has scored her first substantial big-screen role in Tyler Perry's "The Marriage Counselor," reports Deadline.

Kardashian, 31, will play Ava, a coworker of a relationship expert (Jurnee Smollett) who is so bored with her own marriage, she cheats with a smooth-talking client.

After she realizes she made a mistake, Ava swoops in to give her a "big city makeover".

"It's gonna be such a fun experience!" she tweeted on Saturday after the news broke.

"The Mariage Counselor," which is based on Perry's stage production of the same name, begins filming in Atlanta on Oct. 26.

Kardashian had small roles in 2009's "Deep in the Valley" and in the spoof "Disaster Movie" in 2008, in addition to a small role on "CSI: NY."

Side Note: Some (Black) people are not happy with Tyler Perry's casting decision. I don't understand why they have a problem with it. I think it's a fabulous idea and I say... congrats!

Tyler Perry can cast whomever he chooses in HIS film. He is a smart business man, and Kim Kardashian's legions of fans will flock to see his film, therefore giving him a broader white audience range.

Tyler has had major success in the black community and I'm sure he's now wanting his audience to expand. Adding Kim Kardashian or any Kardashian to a project is going to do just that.

And as with ANY Tyler Perry production, I will support it!

Everyone has a right to their own opinions, and we all must respect that. So here are a few opinions on the matter from Youtube!
