Maksim Chmerkovskiy Returning To "DWTS" For Season 14!?

Photobucket

Well dayum.. Just when I had decided to take a week off away from the computer, blogging, tweeting.. etc.. I couldn't help still checking my phone for twitter updates and the notification beeps for my emails, fb messages, mentions/DM's etc kept going off. I think I made it off the internet for a little over 24 hours.. Now that's sad. LMAO - However I'm seriously gonna take some time away from the computer.. it should be done every once and awhile- But too much ish was going on to ignore! Case and point... The DWTS / Maksim Drama!

After the drama of season 13.. (Check the archives for additional deets on past posts), it would seem after the end of season 13 Maks may be ready to take a step back away from "DWTS".. After ABC pulled him and Hope Solo from doing press after their elimination, which has never been done before in the history of the show... it was a slap in the face of Maks. Regardless of what happened between he and the judges, he worked that season and made it to the semi-finals. Hope Solo didn't make the situation any better. Her rude azz attitude and comments were not needed.. especially since she couldn't even DANCE!

What ABC needs to do to revamp the show is get rid the current judges and have them replaced! Carrie Ann Inaba definitely needs to go. When you judge a competition and show favoritism, your behind needs to go! It underminds the integrity of the show!

BTW... Carrie Ann's ignorant "Smile" comment to Maks, was just hella stupid.. Maks wasn't even smiling... Hope was the one smirking!

Anywho.. deets below:

Should he stay or should he go?

After he came so close to winning Dancing With the Stars Season 12 with Kirstie Alley, Maksim Chmerkovskiy wavered on returning for Season 13. Then he went after his own partner in Hope Solo, got her and ended in fourth place after a very dramatic and not-terribly positive journey. So is he going to come back for Season 14? Take a break like Derek Hough did for Season 12? Or just leave us completely like Edyta Sliwinska?

Maks looked pretty spent in several interviews late in the season and his post-elimination tweets have suggested he’s ready to move on — at least for now.

"Another 'lifetime lived’,” he tweeted. “Now on to the next one... Starting by doing something I haven't done in a while..... Teaching an amazing, young pro couple! Such a feeling seeing someone LOVE dance like I love it....for all the right reasons! #backtotheroots.”

All of the pros have other pursuits between seasons, so it’s possible a couple of months from now he’ll decide he wants to come back to DWTS. But it’s also possible some of his comments about the judges — like “f--k ‘em” and “f--k Carrie Ann Inaba” — could keep him away. Maybe he felt free enough to say those things because he knew this was the end?

It’s not like the show doesn’t know he’s good for drama. Ratings were down for Season 13 vs. past seasons but it’s possible that without Maks they could dip even more. Then again, the show did fine without Derek for a season. It probably just depends on the quality of the “stars.”

It certainly doesn’t look like Chmerkovskiy have lost their ill feelings for at least one of the judges. Earlier today, Sir Sleep, the incredible tweeting bulldog adopted by Maks and his DWTS pro brother Val, tweeted this little bon mot:

“I love Carrie Ann, can anyone guess why?”

Yeah, they went there!

Whatever happens next season and beyond, both Chmerkovskiys and their partners are expected back in the ballroom for the Season 13 finale on Tuesday.

Side Note: LMAO [Dead] at Maks' "Dog" tweet!!!! - I sure as hell can't wait to read Maks' exit blog for season 13. Should be interesting.
