Police Officers Murder George Floyd, Protests Erupt in Response to the Horrific Murder and the World Unites...Joining US in Protests

On May 25, Minneapolis police officers arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man. Floyd was accused of using a $20 counterfeit bill for his purchases at a store. An employee of the store called 911. That call lead to police arriving at the scene. And in front of witnesses and phone cameras recording, a smug officer, Derek Chauvin, kept his knee pressed against George Floyd’s neck for over eight minutes.

Floyd was already handcuffed. He wasn't resisting arrest prior to the officers putting him on the ground....and Chauvin pressing his knee against Floyd's neck.

Ignoring pleas that he could not breathe; the officer kept his knee on Floyd’s neck. The officers ignored his cries for help, and they ignored bystanders telling them Floyd could not breathe and they were going to kill him. All the while, the arrogance of Floyd's murderer was written all over the killer's face.

The nation was shocked and devastated by the sickening murder caught on video

An independent autopsy was ordered by Floyd's family after the official autopsy failed to be reliable in reference to the cause of death. The autopsy the family had conducted, confirmed Floyd died from asphyxiation.

The horrific murder of George Floyd has been the breaking point for many.

I cannot get the images out of my mind of Mr. Floyd’s life leaving his body, while a cop’s knee was pressed on his neck. His pleas were ignored. He let the officers know he couldn’t breathe, his neck hurt, his stomach hurt, everything hurt. And still, that sorry piece of trash kept his knee on his neck. Even when Mr. Floyd cried out for his mother and stated “they are going to KILL me”...his tormentor continued to hold him down with his knee pressed against his neck. As Mr. Floyd took his last breath...his killer continued to press his fucking knee on his neck.

I have been enraged since it happened. If folks don’t understand why we are angry, fed up, and just tired of this shit...you are definitely complicit and you have no soul. The other three cops that were there should be arrested as well. Each and every one of them deserves extensive prison sentences.

Continue to protest, fight, and force the change that we so desperately need in this country. Protest like hell in November as well. Vote out Trump and all the bastards that have allowed his tyranny and dangerous rhetoric.

Fuck up that election by voting. Keep the same anger, hurt, and passion when filling out ballots.

Thank you, Netflix for not being complicit. Thank you to all the folks that have used their white privilege and platforms to show their outrage as well and finally get an inkling of what black folks have been enduring in this country for far too long. And FINALLY understanding why Colin Kaepernick took a knee.

My heart goes out to George Floyd's family, as well as the families of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.

Black folks immediately protested against the cold-blooded murder of George Floyd. Cities nationwide, united to peacefully protest. This lead to Floyd's killer being arrested and charged with 3rd-degree murder and manslaughter. He was placed on $500.000 bail. He has yet to post bail.

After the President stoked the fires with dangerous rhetoric aimed at protesters, the atmosphere changed, Anger erupted and it was shown in protestors fighting back against hundreds of years of slavery, oppression, murders, lynchings, Jim Crow and being considered less than human by certain folks in this country, The anger caused destruction to cars, stores, buildings, etc. Looting began and cities around the world had just had enough of the bullshit,

It's not right to destroy and loot,,,, but you have to understand the anger, The majority of protestors around the nation were peacefully protesting, Even while peacefully protesting...police officers were heavy-handed and were seen shoving, pushing, releasing tear gas and shooting protesters with painful rubber bullets. This behavior did not help matters.

Protests continue in cities in New York, Chicago, North Carolina, Texas, Minneapolis and more,

It's not helping that the fake President in office is racist and loves to create shit storms.  He has failed this country. He has failed to lead. He has only made things worse.

Trump calling protestors thugs; yet referring to neo-nazi racists as "very fine people," was another verbal attack against black people and the folks standing with the cause.

Keep in mind....we are STILL in the middle of a pandemic.

Folks stay safe out there.
