It is so crazy when it's time to choose a book of the month selection. I literally have to stop from listing at least three books to the mix. Specifically for the 'book of the month' picks. This is of course a direct result of my very lengthy TBR book list. The smorgasbord of anticipated reads that I want to devour continues to grow.

The new drama Queen Sugar premieres tonight on OWN. The two-night premiere begins tonight at 10PM and continues Wednesday September 7, 2016.

Queen Sugar is produced by the acclaimed director of Selma, Ava DeVernay, and media powerhouse Oprah Winfrey. The series stars Rutina Wesley, Dawn Lyen Gardner and Kofi Siriboe.

DON'T BREATHE Dominates the Box Office

The horror film Don't Breathe scared up the makings of a new horror classic. The film pulled ahead of the competition opening weekend (August 26, 2016) bringing in over $26 million. The horror shocker has dominated the box office ever since.

To date, Don't Breathe, has grossed over $54 million.

The 2016 Olympics were in Rio and Team USA inspired and persevered.

Congrats to all participants!


The US women gymnastics team won the gold medal in the team gymnastics competition at the 2016 Olympics. The phenomenal team consisted of Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Lauren Hernandez and Madison Kocian.
