The second installment of the uber popular and successful film franchise TAKEN, surpassed the original's weekend debut.

TAKEN 2 starring the sexy Liam Neeson skyrocketed up to the number one spot this weekend, pulling in $50 million in the U.S. alone.

The film racked up an additional $67 million in Foreign box office receipts.
