Tyler James Williams [Everybody Hates Chris], Coco Jones and Brandon M. Smith [Disney's So Random!] starred in Disney's original movie "Let It Shine" that recently premiered on the Disney Channel.
Big ups to Disney for putting together a quality young African American movie with a great soundtrack.
Also pleased that Disney did great promotion on the movie as well as pushing the music. The result was ratings gold for the film.
Disney has been heavily airing the movie since it's premiere last week. Check your listings. The DVD releases on August 7th.

The premiere of Let It Shine was seen by 5.7 million people and is now currently the most watched Disney Channel Original Movie of 2012. In its original airing,the movie was watched by 5.70 million viewers, the highest daily numbers for cable, and obtained an adult 18-49 rating of 0.9, second only to Family Guy and tied with the 2012 U.S. Open airings.
