- Whitney Houston's Home Going Service -

Photobucket

Such a wonderful and beautiful home going service for Whitney! The music, the personal memories, the awesome eulogy by Pastor Marvin Winans... everything about the service was beautiful and I know Whitney was present in that church before she took her final journey home.

Kim Burrell, R. Kelly, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Carvin Winans, Alicia Keys, and Stevie Wonder gave emotionally touching performances.

Tyler Perry's memories about Whitney were powerful and touching.

Clive Davis, her industry father... gave such a precious account of his relationship, respect and career of Whitney.

Kevin Costner's touching tribute to Whitney Houston was so beautiful, respectful, filled with love and revealed a true connection.

I cried, laughed, praised and with my family we were honored the family allowed us and the world to be a part of the most perfect and private send off for Whitney's home going.

My thoughts and prayers remain and will stay with Cissy Houston, Bobbi Kristina and the Houston family.

Goodbye Whitney, we love you, will miss you but know you are in a glorious place right now.

Kim Burrell, R. Kelly, Donnie McClurkin, BeBe, CeCe, all the Winans and Stevie, had me in tears!!!

Sadly Bobby Brown did not stay for the service. It was later found out that Bobby came and he had his kids who are also close with Bobbi Kristina. He released a statement and explained why they left. So sad. Whitney would not have wanted the father of her child treated in this manner. I don't know who was responsible, he stated security, but he left so he would not create a scene. I feel so bad for Bobbi Kris' brothers and sister who were crying when they left.

Bobby Brown's statement:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina.

"In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

in addition, Aretha Franklin was unable to make it to her God Daughter's Home Going service due to being ill. Hope she gets well soon.
