This week Leah Remini confirmed that she would not be back for the 2nd season of CBS' talk show "The Talk". She tweeted about it and stated "they" chose not to renew her contract.

CBS has reportedly hired comedian Sheryl Underwood as a co-host. In addition, word is Holly Robinson Peete won't be back as well. Kris Jenner has been picked to "guest" co-host for two weeks for Sharon Osbourne. Deets below:

Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete are reportedly not returning to CBS’ daytime show, The Talk for its second season.

According to Deadline and sources close to production, the talk show will be undergoing several changes next year. Returning to The Talk will be the series creator and co-host Sara Gilbert and her fellow co-hosts Julie Chen (who’s married to CBS head Les Moonves) and Sharon Osbourne.

The options for Remini and Peete were not picked up, though there’s no word yet on whether they’ll remain with the show in a more limited capacity.

If this latest news is true, that really stinks. Leah Remini is hysterical and both Holly and Leah will be missed!

Why the changes now?

With recognizable talent already announced for ABC’s new daytime talk shows ‘The Chew’ and ‘The Revolution’ this could just be a play to upgrade hosts.

Then again, the departing hosts might not be replaced at all. To cut costs, the show could survive with the three remaining co-hosts by bringing in a rotating group of guest co-hosts. ‘

Is Julie Chen, whose married to the head of CBS, the problem:

With all the rumors floating around about whether Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete will return to The Talk (click here to read details), there seems to be a good reason for the ladies exit after only one season.

Julie Chen’s “queen bee attitude” may be what is forcing the ladies to flee the daytime show after just one season, according to the NY Post.

Sources say fed-up Leah Remini plans to quit on the heels of Sharon Osbourne’s bombshell that she’s taking a break.

The last straw for Osbourne and Remini was Chen’s order, passed down from her big wig husband, CBS President Les Moonves, following their South of France break, that the women were not allowed to discuss the Casey Anthony case without her because she’s the only host with journalistic credentials.

“[Julie] said, ‘My husband feels strongly that you should not be talking about news [without me], you are not news people,’ ”

One program insider blamed the problems on Remini.
“[Remini] was a disruptive force,” the source said. “She had a huge morale problem,” adding that Remini often brought her mother on set, who refused to follow studio rules.

Side Note: Whatever the case. CBS is stupid. They were giving their rival "The View" a run for their money. Extremely bad business decision. Learn how to act professional and leave petty behavior at the door.
