Lauryn Hill has released a personal statement regarding the rumors regarding the father of her sixth child. The singer revealed that her baby daddy is not Rohan Marley, who fathered her first five children.

Lauryn gave birth to her sixth child on Saturday, a boy, and has now released a statement addressing rumors about the child’s father, E! News reports.

Lauryn had her first five children with Rohan but not her sixth.

The singer posted a statement on her official website, and Rohan Tweeted the link, that seems to imply that Rohan is not the baby’s father. What’s she saying now?

“Mr. Marley and I have long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning,” Lauryn says. “To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.”

So she doesn’t come right out and say it, but there seem to be enough reasons to assume that Rohan is not the father.

1. Lauryn says she had five children with him, not six. 2. Lauryn thanks fans for the well wishes on the birth of “my” new son, not “our” new son. 3. Rohan Tweeted his well wishes to the birth of “her” new son. Again, he doesn’t say “our” new son.

Lauryn had originally claimed Rohan was the father of her sixth child, but it appears that is no longer the case.
