Coming on the heels of the Popeyes debacle, that had some Popeyes Chicken locations running out of chicken during a much publicized 1 day promotion, you would have thought KFC locations would be ready for the onslaught of consumers...Well a NY KFC location ran out...Oh my! LOL

Feathers were definitely ruffled when the fast-food chain ran out of its new grilled chicken.
"Some customers were upset because they couldn't get their chicken, but there was no riot," KFC spokesperson Laurie Schalow assured the Associated Press after reports of a scuffle surfaced on the Web.
Coupons for the special offer were made available on Oprah.com for 24 hours beginning Tuesday after Winfrey announced the deal on her show. Each downloadable coupon is good for two pieces of grilled chicken, two sides and a biscuit.
Schalow said the grilled chicken, healthier than fried chicken, has been a huge success, and the combination of the sagging economy and the worth of Winfrey's word created a "perfect storm." The Manhattan outlet ran out of chicken but will be restocked – and will honor the coupons, Schalow promises.
